Whoever dishonestly misappropriates or converts to his own use or to the use of any other person, any movable property which is in his possession or under his care, as such owner, agent, servant or in any capacity whatsoever acting in behalf of another person shall be punished with imprisonment for life, or with rigorous imprisonment which may extend up to seven years and shall also be liable to fine.
Unnatural Offences
Unnatural offences are acts which are against the nature of the human being. The unnatural offences include sodomy, buggery, bestiality and sexual assault on minors. The punishment for these offences is imprisonment for life or a fine or both.
Illegal Gratification is a criminal offence and it is an offence to accept or obtain any gratification, gift or promise from a person who is in a position to influence the outcome of public duty.
Any person who accepts illegal gratification will be guilty of the offence.
However, if a person accepts such gratification with the intention of using it for promoting corruption or for inducing another person into committing corruption then he/she will also be guilty of this offence under section 16(A).
Blackmail is committed when a person threatens to publish or publicize, or to circulate or spread, any information concerning the private life of another person if such publication or circulation will harm the reputation of such another person. It is also an offence to obtain money from another by means of blackmail.
Extortion occurs when a person obtains something from another by wrongful threat (i.e., threatening force or some unlawful detriment). If you threaten someone with physical harm if they don’t give you something that belongs to them and/or if you damage their property for the purpose of obtaining your goal, this could be considered extortion under Canadian law.
Extortion can also be committed against an institution by threatening physical damage (such as in acts of terrorism).
